CertiPUR-US® – Certification Program
An independent, non profit program that ensures foam product is made without ozone depleters, PBDE’s, TDCPP or TCEP flame retardants. Made without mercury, lead or other heavy metals. Made without formaldehyde or phthalates and contains only low levels of VOC. (less than 0.5 parts per million.)
Pressure Mapping Results
• MEDI-GEL™ foam used in the NSC3000 and NSC5000 series delivers equivalent pressure mapping results to a low air loss or alternating pressure mattress, with 40% lower cost.
• MEDI-GEL™ foam also provides significantly more efficient cooling properties than competing GEL foams. Over time MEDI-GEL™ will maintain a 1 to 2 degree lower surface temperature while still conforming to the body to assist in pressure relief and spinal alignment.
• Cooler surface temperatures means less moisture which assists in reducing incidents of skin breakdown.
